FAG Single row tapered roller bearings comprise solid inner and outer rings with tapered raceways and tapered rollers with cages made from pressed sheet steel.

The bearings are not self-retaining. As a result, the inner ring with  the rollers and the cage can be mounted separately from the outer ring.

In addition to bearings with standardised main dimensions and standardised designations, special bearings in metric and inch sizes with non-standardised designations (Z-5..TR1 or F-8..TR1) are also   available. For new designs, bearings in metric sizes should always be used in preference.
